Another milestone has been achieved by Fortune Life Insurance Company as it continued its legacy in promoting and honouring the hard work and discipline of Filipino Teachers and School Officials in the country on September 12, 2018 at Bulwagan ng Karunungan, DepEd Central Office in Pasig City.
In partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) and Marylindbert International, Fortune Life headed the Filipiniana themed celebration of its 8th year advocacy of “The Value of Hard Work and Discipline”.
As part of the program, Fortune Life President, Mr. D. Arnold A. Cabangon proudly highlighted in his speech that as of September 2018, the values advocacy program has reached 9.5M students from 2,390 public schools nationwide and has allocated 150,700 workbooks and 20,160 teaching guides. In addition, he emphasized that they will continue to help more Filipino students and teachers to be empowered and be financially literate citizens.
Moreover, Deped Secretary Leonor M. Briones expressed her deepest gratitude to Fortune Life in recognizing the efforts of teachers and school officials of DepEd. She also mentioned the importance of Alternative Learning System (ALS) to children who have no means to undergo formal education.
Together with DepEd Secretary Leonor Briones, Usec. Lorna Dig–Dino graced the event as well as Fortune Life Insurance President D. Arnold A. Cabangon; Fortune Life EVP & General Manager Evelyn T. Carada, ALC Group of Companies Chairman Edgard A. Cabangon; Marylindbert International CEO & President Erlinda S. Legaspi; notable business partners of Fortune Life; members of the Board; DepEd teachers and officials; and VAP supporters.
At the end of the event, the attendees were given Philippine Graphic September 10 issue and Business Mirror September 12 issue where the event was featured as souvenirs and token of appreciation for their continued support.
